UWA Opportunities for High School Students

Engage! is our newly revived exhibition program for talented young musicians aged 14-17. Under the direction of Prue Ashurst and School of Music Faculty, the program is designed to extend students who have a high aptitude for music, and help them to excel even further. A wide range of topics will be covered including: aural and musicianship training, music history, choral study, performance and composition.
Further details:  http://www.music.uwa.edu.au/community/engage – or there is a poster attached!
The cost of the 10 week program is $350. Please pass on this information to any student who may be interested! A number of scholarships are available, so please let me know if you have a student who might benefit from this?
School holiday programs
We will be running our yearly ‘Day in the Life of a Music Student‘ on Monday 13 April, which gives students in year 10-12 the opportunity to spend the day on campus participating in a range of activities. Participation is free but places are limited. Students can apply here: http://www.studyat.uwa.edu.au/about/events/DITL/april/music
